ECOSingapore and the National Geographic Store (Singapore) will be hosting a Free Public Talk Session by Panut Hadisiswoyo, the Principal Conservationist & Founding Director of Orangutan Information Centre (OIC), on 17th November , 7pm at the National Geographic Store (Singapore), 1 HarbourFront Walk, #01-19 VivoCity, Singapore, Singapore 098585 aka the first floor of VivoCity.
The topic is on Human Orangutan Conflict Resolution in Sumatra, Indonesia. The sharing session covers issues of Sumatran orangutan (Pongo abelii), human orangutan conflict, orangutan crop raiding, conflict mitigation, education and outreach in Sumatra, Indonesia.
Panut Hadisiswoyo founded the OIC in 2001 and has been working with his team for the protection of rainforests, the critically endangered Sumatran Orangutan, promotes conservation amongst communities living adjacent to Gunung Leuser National Park (GLNP), and has been involved in the restoration of degraded forests since 2005.
